As skilled and valued members of the pharmacy team, pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists to provide quality patient services. Meeting high standards of practice and achieving certification provide technicians opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of knowledge.

    Log in to CPE Monitor to obtain your e-Profile ID or maintain your e-Profile.
  • Technicians and Boards of Pharmacy
    Requirements for practicing as a pharmacy technician vary from state to state, but according to NABP’s 2011 Survey of Pharmacy Law, over 80% of jurisdictions license, register, or require certification of technicians.
  • Boards of Pharmacy
    Contact the board of pharmacy in the state or jurisdiction where you wish to work as a pharmacy technician for information on state-specific CPE requirements.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
    PTCB promotes patient safety by serving as the national standard for certification of pharmacy technicians.
  • Task Force Reports and Resolutions
    Learn more about the guidance NABP provides on pharmacy technician issues through task force reports or the resolutions that formally state the membership’s stance.
  • Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
    Many ACPE-accredited providers of continuing education offer continuing pharmacy education activities for pharmacy technicians.
