Independent Community-based Pharmacy
A pharmacy with three or fewer stores, only licensed and doing business in its home state, receiving or facilitating orders to purchase prescription drugs over the Internet from patients located in the home state. (Schedule A)
Chain Drugstore, Mass Retailer, HMO Pharmacy, PBM Pharmacy
A pharmacy licensed in more than three states, receiving or facilitating orders to purchase prescription drugs over the Internet from patients in only those states in which the pharmacy is licensed. (Schedule B)
A pharmacy with an Internet practice that is limited to one to three states (pharmacy only possesses one to three pharmacy licenses), receiving or facilitating orders to purchase prescription drugs over the Internet from patients located in only the three home states. (Schedule C)
You may want to apply for the NABP e-Advertiser Approval Program if you are a:
Pharmacy with Limited Online Presence
Brick and mortar pharmacy that is not engaged in any pharmacy or drug-related practice over the Internet, or that is accepting only refill orders over the Internet from patients in the home state, and is seeking to advertise pharmacy services or products online (Schedule D)
Drug Information Site
A Web site providing drug information. (Schedule E)
Pharmacy Information Site
A Web site providing links to or redirecting users to any other Web site engaged in pharmacy or drug-related practices. (Schedule F)
A Web site advertising a physician’s services relative to a prescription drug (Schedule G)
NABP reserves the right to adjust category based upon a screening of the application submitted and review of the entity’s Web site.
