William T. Winsley, RPh, MS, Elected as Member of NABP's Executive Committee
William T. Winsley, RPh, MS, was elected to serve a three-year member term, District 4, on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during its 101st Annual Meeting, May 21-24, 2005, in New Orleans, LA.
Executive Director of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy since 1998, Mr Winsley has also held such positions as assistant executive director, director of internship, and compliance specialist with the Ohio Board. Before joining the Board, he was the assistant director of pharmacy at Akron City Hospital and assistant director of pharmacy and an instructor at the West Virginia University Medical Center College of Pharmacy. He also served as a supervisor of drug distribution at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Mr Winsley served as a member of NABP's Executive Committee from 2001 to 2002. Mr Winsley is an active member of NABP and has participated in many of the Association's committees and task forces throughout the years, including serving as member of the 2004 Task Force on Importation Enforcement, member of the 2003 Task Force on Limited Distribution and Shortage of Medications, chairman of the 2002 Task Force on Privacy, and chairman of the Task Force on Model Guidelines for Formulary Development.
Present and past professional affiliations include the Akron Area Society of Hospital Pharmacists, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Mr Winsley was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1999.
Mr Winsley holds both a bachelor of science in pharmacy degree and a master of science in hospital pharmacy administration degree from Ohio State University.
