Washington News: New Licensing System for Health Professions

The Washington State Department of Health, Health Systems Quality Assurance Division will roll out a new licensing system early this year. The Integrated Licensing and Regulatory System (ILRS) will replace the outdated licensing and regulatory systems used by multiple offices within the division.

Most applicant and credential holders will not notice much difference when the new system comes online. The one exception involves the format of the applications, renewal notices, and credential or license documents. The division is revamping those documents to make them easier to understand and fill out. ILRS will provide additional opportunities for future system enhancements including online services.
