Vermont News: Responses to Discrepancy Reports

Topics: Inspection

Published in the December 2007 Vermont Board of Pharmacy Newsletter

Following an inspection of a facility, a letter is sent to the attention of the pharmacist manager noting any discrepancies found. The Board has noticed an increase in responses from corporate headquarters rather than the pharmacist manager. Please note that the Board expects the pharmacist manager to respond to the discrepancies. The Board encourages pharmacist managers to share the results of an inspection with corporate headquarters and/or owners of the pharmacy, but the response to discrepancies should be directly from the on-site person responsible for the pharmacy activities.
