USP Issues Official Notice Regarding the USP Pharmacists' Pharmacopeia
On April 20, 2010, United States Pharmacopeia (USP) issued a notice stating that the official status of the 2008–2009 USP Pharmacists' Pharmacopeia through its Fifth Supplement has been extended to October 1, 2010. USP advised that monograph specifications and procedures found in this edition of the USP Pharmacists' Pharmacopeia should continue to be used. The extension reflects the extended official status of USP 32–NF 27 that resulted from a recall of the USP 33–NF 28. The USP 33–NF 28 recall does not affect the current USP Pharmacists' Pharmacopeia.
