Title: Sterile Products
Action: Passed

Whereas, the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) has rewritten the sterile products section of the USP-National Formulary (USP-NF); and

Whereas, the section on sterile products has moved from a recommendation to a guideline of the USP-NF; and

Whereas, numerous states are implementing sterile compounding regulations or laws;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that NABP communicate to its member boards the integration of the USP-NF Chapter 797, Pharmaceutical Compounding-Sterile Products Standards into the Model State Pharmacy Practice Act and Model Rules of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
