The next South Dakota State Board of Pharmacy meeting is scheduled for December 11 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Board meetings are open to the public. Pharmacists are encouraged to attend. The specific location and agenda for the meeting will be posted on the Board Web site approximately 30 days before the meeting. Minutes of past meetings are also available on the Web site.

The effective date for several changes in the administrative rules was August 17, 2009. Every pharmacist should review these rules to make sure that he or she understands and complies with them.

The Board continues to work on changes and additions to other sections of the rules in order to maintain or enhance pharmacy practice regulations that protect the health and welfare of South Dakota consumers. Please call the Board office or speak with one of the inspectors if you have any questions or suggestions about administrative rules.
