Preparing for the FPGEE
Test Day Tips and Requirements
Refer to the FPGEE Administration section of the FPGEC Application Bulletin for full information on test-day requirements. The tips that follow summarize some common concerns.
Identification
You are required to bring your Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) Identification Card and a primary form of identification‚ which includes your signature and picture.
A secondary form of identification‚ which contains your name and signature is recommended.
Study Materials
Do not bring any study materials with you to the exam.
Electronic Devices
All electronic devises, including but not limited to personal digital assistants, cell phones, and MP3 players, must be stored in the storage lockers and may not be accessed during the six-hour testing window, including the 30-minute break.
Leaving the Building, Leaving the Test Center Area, and Leaving the Testing Room
You are not allowed to leave the test building for any reason during the examination‚ and may only leave the testing room or testing center with permission of the test site administrator.
Food and Drink
Food and drink may only be accessed in the secure storage area during the 30-minute break.
Other Areas of Misconduct
Be prepared to stay in the immediate testing area all day, even during the 30-minute break, and tell your loved ones you will not be contacting them until the test is completed or about six hours after your FPGEE is scheduled to begin.
Missing the Test
Finally, if you have scheduled your exam with Pearson VUE and can not attend, be sure you cancel with both Pearson VUE and NABP by September 15, 2011‚ to avoid a $150 re-sitting fee for the April 2012 exam. However‚ if you find out that you cannot take the September 27 FPGEE after the September 15 deadline you still must notify Pearson VUE and NABP in order to not be classified as a no-show‚ whereby you will have to re-apply to the FPGEC to take a future FPGEE.
