The Board is planning to convene a Technician Rules Committee for the purpose of reviewing the current technician regulations and rules for both hospitals and community pharmacies. It is anticipated that the committee will begin meeting in July or August, and will continue to meet on a monthly basis for a year. The committee will be tasked with studying other states’ rules and regulations in comparison to Oklahoma, and then making recommendations to the Board on such issues as minimum training, education, testing, permitted duties, and prohibited tasks.
