NPDB Site Provides Critical Information on NPDB/HIPDB Reporting Requirements
The National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) and Healthcare Integrity and Protection Data Bank (HIPDB) Web site provides timely information on state licensing agency reporting requirements. Resources include information about accessing conference calls covering critical information about mandatory NPDB/HIPDB reporting requirements. The conference call recordings will be available until June 9, 2010. A slideshow available on the site also provides information and guidance about reporting requirements for state licensing agencies.
To assist boards to comply with reporting requirements, NABP may be designated as the HIPDB reporting agent. Instructions for authorizing NABP as a state board’s reporting agent are in the Member Services section of the NABP Web site.
