April 24, 2013 2:00 pm Topics: Pharmacies

Legislation (HB 1363) requiring pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) in North Dakota to notify pharmacies about how reimbursements for most prescription drugs are calculated was signed into law by Governor Jack Dalrymple. Specifically, PBMs will be required to provide information about how maximum allowable cost (MAC) benchmarks are calculated. They will also be required to provide a more detailed appeals process to pharmacies, reports Drug Store News.
