New York Pharmacists’ Authority to Administer Flu Vaccinations Expanded Under Emergency Order

Responding to epidemic proportions of flu in New York State, Governor Andrew Cuomo has passed emergency orders expanding pharmacists’ authority to vaccinate individuals against the illness. Under the emergency order, New York pharmacists already authorized to administer flu vaccines to individuals 18 years of age and older are also authorized to vaccinate individuals between six months and 18 years of age.
