New Look for NABP.net Unveiled

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) has launched its redesigned Web site, which features improved navigation on visually appealing and clutter-free pages. The site enhancements make it easier for members and visitors to access information such as the Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy; Internet-based applications for the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination, the Pre-NAPLEX®, the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination®, and Score Transfer; Committee and Task Force reports; resolutions; counterfeit drug information; Annual Meeting programming and registration details; Executive Committee nominee information; frequently asked questions about NABP’s programs and services; and much more.

Just a mouse click away, the enhanced site now includes the following features:

  • Counterfeit Drug Podcasts: enables users to listen to counterfeiting experts discuss the ways counterfeit drugs enter the system and steps the government and consumers can take to protect themselves from dangerous pills;
  • Google™ Search: allows users to easily find what they are looking for on NABP’s information-rich site;
  • Site Map: outlines in alphabetical order the entire content of the site as well as links to the appropriate pages within the site; and
  • Text Sizing Option: enables users to directly control and modify the text size on each Web page.

The purpose of the redesign was to improve appearance, usability, and navigation based on survey results and feedback gathered from member boards of pharmacy in the member satisfaction survey commissioned by NABP Chairperson Dennis K. McAllister and the NABP Executive Committee. The design and navigation of the new site is based on this research.

“I was happy to carry on the initiative of a more user-friendly Web site that NABP Chairperson McAllister started during his term as president,” says NABP President Lawrence H. Mokhiber. “Through the member satisfaction survey NABP conducted in 2005, we were able to determine the features that would serve our members best. Many of these enhancements have been implemented with this redesign, and I am excited to say that there are many more improvements to come.”

Visit NABP’s Web site today and in the upcoming months as additional Internet-based applications as well as a members-only section with secure logon will be available.

NABP is the independent, international, and impartial Association that assists its member boards and jurisdictions in developing, implementing, and enforcing uniform standards for the purpose of protecting the public health.
