New Iowa Program Offers MTM Services to Thousands of Iowa Patients
The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services has selected a new medication therapy management (MTM) program for the state employee health plan that will bring MTM services to more than 64,000 additional patients in Iowa. The program is effective immediately and all Iowa pharmacists and physicians are eligible to provide the services. This MTM program includes an annual comprehensive medication review, with a specially trained pharmacist or other qualified health care provider, prescriber consultations, patient education and monitoring, and patient compliance consultations.
