New and Improved NAPLEX/MPJE Application to be Launched
On March 28, 2011 NABP will launch an improved application for the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination® (NAPLEX®) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE®). In order to migrate to the new system, registrations for the NAPLEX, NAPLEX score transfer, and MPJE will be unavailable from 8 AM central time on Wednesday, March 23 until 8 AM on Monday, March 28.
The online application has been upgraded to be more user friendly – it now allows candidates to perform more registration tasks and provides application status information.
The upgrades include features such as:
- The ability to change an existing application by registering for the MPJE in additional jurisdictions
- The option to submit resitting fees online if an examination is missed, ending the need to send payment through the mail and expediting receipt of the new Authorization to Test
- The opportunity for candidates to monitor their application status to see if applications have been received, if eligibility has been requested, granted, denied, or expired, if Authorization to Test has been generated, and if an application has been withdrawn, closed, or expired
- Examination score results for candidates who have tested with a board of pharmacy that participates in NABP’s online score interface
- The ability to withdraw applications online
New for NAPLEX score transfer, now candidates can request NAPLEX score transfers at any time prior to testing for the examination. Enhancements to the new application eliminate the old condition that required candidates to submit score transfer requests five business days before their scheduled NAPLEX.
Candidates who registered for either examination before the new application was launched will be migrated into the new system and they will be able to access the features of the upgraded application. The previous application did not require a user name and password, so candidates will need to create a user account when logging in.
The upgrades allow for a clearer and smoother registration process that gives candidates greater flexibility when applying and easier access to examination status.
