Nebraska Board of Pharmacy Decides Not to Reclassify Marijuana

September 23, 2010 12:04 pm

The Nebraska Board of Pharmacy decided against reclassifying marijuana to make it available as a medical treatment. Medical marijuana advocates asked the Board to consider reclassifying the drug at a July Board meeting. The Board, however, stressed that reclassifying marijuana so that it can be used for medical purposes is in the jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and declined to act on the matter, reported CNBC.
