National Rx Drug Abuse Summit Provides Forum for Stakeholders Fighting Prescription Drug Abuse

Aimed to foster a better understanding and cooperation among all stakeholders in the prescription drug abuse arena, the National Rx Drug Abuse Summit will take place April 10-12, 2012, in Orlando, FL. Keynote speakers include national officials leading the fight in prescription drug abuse intervention, prevention, treatment, and education. The summit includes five educational tracks: health care, advocacy and prevention, human resources, treatment, and law enforcement. Attendees will include state and national leaders, law enforcement officials, medical professionals, community advocates, treatment experts, educators, insurance and benefits managers, and private industry leaders, among others. Online registration is available on the summit Web site, and the cost (for government, academic institution, and non-profit registrations) remains at $495 until March 31, 2012; on April 1, 2012, this registration fee will increase to $695.
