NABP Successfully Launches Pre-NAPLEX

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) has made it easier for students to prepare for the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination™ (NAPLEX®) with the successful launch of the Pre-NAPLEX™ on May 2. The Pre-NAPLEX aids pharmacy students and graduates in assessing their ability, knowledge, and judgment that an entry-level pharmacist is expected to demonstrate and is the only NAPLEX practice examination written and developed by NABP.

Conveniently located on NABP's Web site, www.nabp.net, and also accessible through www.pharmacist.com and www.pre-naplex.com, students can sit for the pre-examination 24 hours a day, seven days a week from any location with Internet access, such as home, school, work, or even a public library. The Pre-NAPLEX consists of 50 questions and three different forms are available. At the conclusion of each practice examination, candidates will receive a scoring estimate of how they may perform on the NAPLEX. The fee to sit for the Pre-NAPLEX is $50 per attempt.

"The Pre-NAPLEX is an NABP Executive Committee initiative that will give students a chance to familiarize themselves with the format of the NAPLEX," says NABP President John A. Fiacco. "Not only does the Pre-NAPLEX have the same "look and feel" of the NAPLEX, but actual questions from previous NAPLEX examinations are used."

Promissor, Inc, an expert in computer-based assessment exams with offices in Philadelphia, Chicago, and London, will host the Pre-NAPLEX. Providing knowledge measurement services to clients around the world, Promissor designs assessment solutions, provides test development services and delivery via multiple testing options, and offers comprehensive client support services.
