The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) is pleased to announce its new two-day format for the Fall Educational Conference (FEC) where attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 10 hours of continuing education (CE) as well as interact with educators, regulators, and other experienced and notable individuals and organizations. The FEC will be held at the historic Hyatt Regency Savannah, in Savannah, GA, from November 3-4, 2006.
NABP’s condensed FEC will allow attendees the convenience of a shortened two-day conference while maintaining NABP’s goal to provide an array of enlightening CE programming. Sessions are currently scheduled from 1 - 5 pm on Friday, November 3, 2006, and from 8 am - 4:45 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2006. Topics covered over the two-day period include: an agenda to improve patient safety and quality care; a regulatory roundtable; state versus federal regulation of pharmacy compounding; legal, regulatory, and professional implications of non-pharmacists delivering pharmacist care; managing pharmaceutical waste through regulatory approaches; and electronic transmission of controlled substance prescriptions.
Attendees will also have the chance to network during the welcome reception held Friday evening and at the luncheon held Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening and Sunday remain free for FEC attendees to explore the various sites Savannah has to offer.
