NABP Hosts 102nd Annual Meeting Educational Presentation Area
Attendees Have the Opportunity to Gain Insight Into Technological Advancements, Issues Affecting Practice of Pharmacy, and Network With Fellow Practitioners
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) will once again offer its Educational Presentation Area as well as networking opportunities to attendees during the 102nd Annual Meeting, held April 8-11, 2006, at the Westin St Francis in San Francisco, CA.
The Educational Presentation Area is open from 1 to 5 PM on Saturday, April 8, and from 8 AM to noon on Sunday, April 9. Products that will be exhibited include dispensing equipment, computer software packages, online services, programs that focus on patient compliance and management, wholesale distributor innovations, and central fill technologies.
Once again, Annual Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Annual Meeting Passport Drawing. To qualify for the drawing, attendees need to get their passport stamped at every booth. Three prizes will be drawn from those who have submitted the completed passport to the Registration Desk by 11:30 AM on Monday, April 10, 2006. Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at 7 PM.
Also featured in the Educational Presentation Area is the 4th Annual Poster Session. Viewing times for the Poster Session are Saturday, April 8, from 1 to 5 PM, and Sunday, April 9, from 8 AM to noon. The Poster Session provides an opportunity for the state boards of pharmacy to share ideas from their most noteworthy legislative issues, policy development, or disciplinary cases. At the Poster Session, boards may opt to present research results from studies they have conducted. Colleges and schools of pharmacy are also encouraged to participate in the Poster Session. Previous Poster Session topics included Internet prescribing, the expansion of the pharmacy profession, a new communication partnership, and the recognition of NABP’s Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors Program™ in state law.
