NABP Elects Oren M. Peacock, Jr, RPh, to Serve on Executive Committee at Association's 99th Annual Meeting

Oren M. Peacock, Jr, RPh, was elected to a three-year member term on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during the Association's 99th Annual Meeting, May 3-7, 2003, in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr Peacock has served on the Texas Board of Pharmacy since 1996, and from 1998 to 1999 he served as Board president. Reappointed to the Board in 1999 for an additional six-year term, Mr Peacock is also a member of such professional associations as the Dallas County and Texas Pharmacy Associations, American Pharmacists Association, and the Texas Federation of Drug Stores.

Mr Peacock has contributed his time and efforts in many of NABP's committees and task forces, including the Task Force on Centralized Prescription Filling, Committee on Constitution and Bylaws, the Committee on Resolutions, and has chaired the Task Force on Evaluation and Modification of NABP's Constitution and Bylaws.

He is the former president and secretary of the Texas Federation of Drug Stores, and is currently a member of the American Pharmacists Strategic and Tactical Analysis Team on Practice Environment and Quality of Work Life along with serving on the dean's advisory councils of both the Texas Tech College of Pharmacy and the University of Oklahoma.

Mr Peacock has steadily progressed through the ranks of the Eckerd Corporation to his present position of vice president of pharmacy relations. He graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy with a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.
