Michael A. Moné, RPh, JD, Elected to NABP Executive Committee at Association's 98th Annual Meeting

Michael A. Moné, RPh, JD, executive director of the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy, was elected to a three-year member term on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during the Association's 98th Annual Meeting, May 18-22, 2002, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Mr Moné has been executive director of the Kentucky Board since 1996. Prior to his tenure with the Board, Mr Moné served as assistant attorney general at the Florida Office of the Attorney General and a staff attorney with the US Pharmacopeia Inc.

In addition to serving on the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination™ Review Committee since 1998, Mr Moné has served as chair of both the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws and the Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation. He was also a member of the Task Force on Privacy and Confidentiality. Mr Moné served as the speaker of the House of Delegates in the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA). His other affiliations include the American Society for Pharmacy Law, the American Pharmaceutical Association, the Kentucky Pharmacists Association, the Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Mr Moné is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.
