John A. Fiacco, RPh, Elected NABP President-elect during 97th Annual Meeting in Seattle

John A. Fiacco, RPh, member of the New York State Board of Pharmacy, was elected president-elect of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) for 2001-2002, during the Association's 97th Annual Meeting, May 5-9, 2001, in Seattle, Wash.

Prior to his election, Mr Fiacco served a one-year term as NABP's treasurer and two years as a member of the Executive Committee. Following his year as president-elect, which will end at the conclusion of NABP's 98th Annual Meeting in Phoenix in May 2002, he will serve one year as president of the Association before serving a one-year term as chairman of the Executive Committee.

Mr Fiacco is a member of NABP's Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination™ Review Committee and was chairperson of the Committee on Resolutions in 1997 and 1998. He also served as Executive Committee liaison to the Task Force on Patient Outcomes and the Advisory Committee on Exams.

A graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, NY, Mr Fiacco is the director of Central Fill Pharmacy and the general manager of Renlar Systems for Cardinal Health.
