John A. Fiacco, RPh, Begins Term as NABP President following 98th Annual Meeting in Phoenix
John A. Fiacco, RPh, member of the New York State Board of Pharmacy, began his term as president of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) at the conclusion of the Association's 98th Annual Meeting, May 18-22, 2002, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr Fiacco assumed the presidency after a one-year term as the Association's president-elect. When his presidential term ends at the conclusion of NABP's 99th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Pa, in May 2003, he will serve one year as chairman of the Association's Executive Committee. Mr Fiacco has previously served as NABP Treasurer and a member of NABP's Executive Committee.
He has been active on many NABP committees and task forces. Mr Fiacco has been a member of the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination Review Committee since its inception in 1997 and was chairperson of the Committee on Resolutions in 1997 and 1998. He also served as the Executive Committee liaison to the Task Force on Patient Outcomes and the Advisory Committee on Examinations.
A graduate of the Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, NY, Mr Fiacco serves as the vice president of Central Fill Pharmacy for Cardinal Health.
