Howard C. Anderson, Jr, RPh, Elected to NABP Executive Committee at 97th Annual Meeting
Howard C. Anderson, Jr, RPh, executive director of the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy, was elected a member of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy's (NABP) Executive Committee during the Association's 97th Annual Meeting, May 5-9, 2001, in Seattle, Wash. He will serve a three-year term and represent District V.
Mr Anderson has been an active member of several NABP committees and task forces and was chair of the Task Force to Examine the Quality and Standards of Internship Requirements. He is also the District V secretary/treasurer.
In addition to his association with NABP, as a member of the North Dakota Pharmaceutical Association, he served as president, executive vice president, and chairman of the board. In other areas, Mr Anderson was the co-editor of North Dakota Pharmacist and served as the North Dakota State University chapter past president for the Rho Chi Pharmacy Society. Mr Anderson is also the recipient of several awards including the Wyeth-Ayerst Bowl of Hygeia award in 1981, the North Dakota Pharmaceutical Association Al Doerr Service Award in 1995, and North Dakota Society of Health-System Pharmacists Pharmacist of the Year award in 1988.
Mr Anderson earned a BS in pharmacy from North Dakota State University. He is the co-owner of Reynolds Drug in Helena, Mont, and the owner of Turtle Lake Rexall Drug in Turtle Lake, ND.
