Gregory Braylock, Sr, RPh, Elected to Serve as Member of NABP Executive Committee at Associationís 104th Annual Meeting

Gregory Braylock, Sr, RPh, was elected to serve a three-year member term, representing District 4, on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy^® (NABP^®) during the Association’s 104th Annual Meeting, May 17-20, 2008, in Baltimore, MD.

Mr Braylock has been a member of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy since 2001 and is currently the Board’s president. In addition, he is a pharmacy manager for Walgreen Co, where he is responsible for the entire operation of the pharmacy. Prior to this, Mr Braylock held positions such as pharmacy manager for Rite Aid and staff pharmacist for Walgreen Co. He was also a part-time instructor for Cuyahoga Community College.

An active member of NABP and the Ohio Board, Mr Braylock has served on the NABP Committee on Law Enforcement/Legislation from 2002 to 2003 and was the committee chairperson of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Rules Review in 2006.  

Among his other activities, Mr Braylock currently serves as a member of the Ohio Pharmacists Association, serving on the Legal and Regulatory Committee since 1999. He was also the president of the Cleveland Chapter of the National Pharmaceutical Association from 2001 to 2004 and vice president from 1998 to 2001. In addition, Mr Braylock was a member of the Cleveland National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Health Council and a member of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy Council on Diversity since 2003 and Alumni Council from 2002 to 2005. Mr Braylock has also been a member of the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee since 2004.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, Mr Braylock earned his bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.
