Georgia Board Requires Pharmacy Technicians to Register

Topics: Technicians

The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy has adopted a rule (480-15-02) requiring pharmacy technicians to register with the Board of Pharmacy, in accordance with Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 26-4-28). Pharmacy technicians in Georgia are now required to apply for registration online through the Board’s Web site, to pay the applicable fee, obtain a criminal history background check, and meet other requirements. The state’s Professional Licensing Board will make approved pharmacy technician registrations available on its Web site. Details about the state’s law and Board rules are available on the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Web site.
