Georgia and Montana Legislatures Consider Bills to Establish PMPs

Senate Bill 36 to establish a PMP in Georgia, passed in the state’s Senate on February 23, 2011, and has been introduced to the Georgia House. Goergia’s Times-Herald reports that if the bill passes and becomes law, the implementation of a PMP would be subject to funding.
In Montana, House Bill 83 would implement a prescription drug registry, or PMP. The bill passed in the Montana House of Representatives on February 18, 2011. Montana’s KRTV news reports that the bill awaits approval from the Montana Senate.
