FDA Videos Warn Consumers About Health Fraud Scams
FDA has released two new videos aimed to educate consumers about health fraud scams such as products that claim to prevent, treat, or cure diseases or other health conditions, but are not proven safe and effective for those uses. FDA advises consumers that health fraud scams are marketed everywhere, including on television, radio, magazines, newspapers, and the Internet. The FDA videos are developed to help protect consumers from products and scams that can potentially cause serious or even fatal injuries, as well as delay proper diagnosis of health issues.
