Donna S. Wall, PharmD, Elected NABP President-elect during Association's 98th Annual Meeting

Donna S. Wall, PharmD, member of the Indiana Board of Pharmacy, was elected president-elect of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) during the Association's 98th Annual Meeting, May 18-22, 2002, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Prior to her election, Dr Wall served one year as treasurer and two years as a member of the NABP Executive Committee. Dr Wall will serve as president-elect for a one-year term, which will end at the conclusion of the NABP's 99th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Pa, in May 2003. Following her term as president-elect, Dr Wall will serve a one year term as president of the Association and then one year as chairperson of the Executive Committee.

Throughout her tenure with the Indiana Board she has served as Board president and vice president. She has also been involved in numerous NABP committees and task forces and served as the Executive Committee liaison to the Task Force on Privacy and Confidentiality, the Task Force on Drug Diversion through Institutional Outlets, and the Task Force on Certification Standards and Programs.

Among her other professional affiliations are the Indiana Society of Hospital Pharmacists, the Indiana Pharmacy Alliance, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Dr Wall's has received numerous awards for her work, including the Glen J. Sperandio Award for the Advancement of Pharmacy in 2000, and Wyeth Bowl of Hygeia in 2001.

Dr Wall is currently a clinical pharmacist for the adult critical care unit at Indiana University Hospital. Before joining Indiana University Hospital, she served as a staff pharmacist at St Vincent Hospital. Dr Wall received a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy from the Butler University College of Pharmacy and her doctor of pharmacy degree from Purdue University.
