Donna S. Wall, PharmD, Begins Term as NABP President Following 99th Annual Meeting in Philadelphia

Donna S. Wall, PharmD, member of the Indiana Board of Pharmacy, began her term as president of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) at the conclusion of the Association's 99th Annual Meeting, May 3-7, 2003, in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr Wall assumed the presidency after serving a one-year term as the Association's president-elect. At the conclusion of NABP's 100th Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, on April 24-28, 2004, she will serve one year as chairperson of the Association's Executive Committee. Dr Wall previously served as NABP treasurer and a member of NABP's Executive Committee.

She has been an active force on many of NABP's committees and task forces. She served as an Executive Committee representative to the Committee on Secondary Wholesalers and the Task Force on Security and Confidentiality in 2000 and 2001, respectively. She also served on the Committee on NABP Interim Planning and Finance in 2000 and 2001.

A clinical pharmacist in the Adult Critical Care unit of Indiana University Hospital since 1994, Dr Wall is also an affiliate associate professor of clinical pharmacy at the Purdue University College of Pharmacy.

Currently as a member of the Indiana Board of Pharmacy, Dr Wall also served as the Board's vice president and president. Dr Wall is also a member of such professional societies as the Indiana Society of Hospital Pharmacists, Indiana Pharmacy Alliance, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. A recipient of the Sandoz Pharmacy Clerkship award; the Purdue University PharmD Class of 1997, Preceptor of the Year award; the Glen J. Sperandio Award for Advancement of Pharmacy; and Wyeth Pharmaceutical's Bowl of Hygeia Award, Dr Wall received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University and her pharmacy bachelor of science from Butler University.
