Delegates Approve Nine Resolutions at NABP's 101st Annual Meeting
Delegates from the member boards of pharmacy adopted nine resolutions during the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) 101st Annual Meeting, held May 21-24, 2005, in New Orleans, LA. The resolutions addressed such timely issues as effective communication in pharmacy practice and in the provision of pharmacist care; sterile compounding and the NABP Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules; reporting of NAPLEX® (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination™) scores to schools and colleges of pharmacy; medication assistance programs; reporting of pharmacy personnel terminations to the boards of pharmacy and the NABP Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules; electronic pedigrees; NABP and DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) collaboration; implementation of the Medicare Prescription Drug Modernization Act of 2003; and one recognition resolution.
