Delegates Approve 10 Resolutions at the NABP 106th Annual Meeting

Delegates from the member boards of pharmacy adopted 10 resolutions during the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) 106th Annual Meeting, held May 22-25, 2010, in Anaheim, CA. The resolutions addressed the following:

  • Studying the concept of multistate licensure
  • Standardizing definitions, requirements, and the registration of pharmacy interns
  • Communicating the importance of the expanded role of pharmacist immunization services
  • Researching and developing national pharmacy practice standards
  • Encouraging uniform disciplinary guidelines
  • Establishing a task force to review and recommend revisions to the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970
  • Encouraging the adoption of uniform standards for pharmacy technician education and training programs
  • Encouraging the development and use of technology to ensure complete patient profile data for the provision of pharmacist care
  • Labeling of medications for patient assistance programs
  • A recognition resolution
