A Delaware pharmacist will face charges related to the distribution of OxyContin® pills for sale to drug dealers, as reported by Delawareonline. The distribution scheme was uncovered by federal agents during an investigation in 2009 and the pharmacist, Bruce E. Costa, Jr, is now in jail, awaiting his trial date scheduled for later this month. Costa allegedly sold as many as 45,000 pills to an individual who then sold them to other drug dealers. Agents investigating the case seized approximately $160,000 and hundreds of oxycodone and Xanax® pills at Costa’s home, as well as more than $1.2 million hidden at his parents’ home, Delawareonline reports.
