Dallas Drug Makers Issue Voluntary Recall for Sterile Products
FDA is warning health care providers to quarantine and cease use of sterile drug products from ApotheCure, Inc, and NuVision Pharmacy, two Dallas, TX, facilities. ApotheCure, Inc, has issued a voluntary recall of all its sterile drug products while NuVision has voluntarily recalled its sterile lyophilized (freeze-dried powder) drug products. The recalls were issued after FDA inspections raised concerns about a lack of sterility assurance. Adverse reactions or quality problems related to the drugs should immediately be reported to FDA’s MedWatch program.
