APhA Drawing Winners to Receive their Prizes

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) extends its thanks to the 1,750 attendees who came by its booth at the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting and Exposition, March 9-12, 2012, in New Orleans, LA. Many visitors shared their enthusiasm for the CPE Monitor™ service, a collaborative effort between NABP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE providers. They also mentioned that they were eager for the opportunity to track their ACPE-accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits electronically. ACPE-accredited providers are in the process of transitioning their systems to CPE Monitor. As they do so, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to begin viewing their CPE contact hours online through their NABP e-Profile.

Congratulations to those who entered the drawing at the NABP booth. Kristin Smith, PharmD, won the Apple iPad®, valued at $499, and the following six individuals won a $50 American Express gift card: Mario Ferreira; Carl Franklin, RPh; Anne Haines, RPh; Kim Le; Lisa Patel; and Philip Slater.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are encouraged visit www.MyCPEmonitor.net to create their NABP e-Profiles, obtain their e-Profile ID, and register for CPE Monitor, if they have not done so already, in order to avoid possible delays in CPE recording. Soon all ACPE-accredited providers will require this information along with each licensee’s date of birth (MMDD) in order to receive credit for ACPE-accredited CPE activities.

NABP is the independent, international, and impartial Association that assists its member boards and jurisdictions in developing, implementing, and enforcing uniform standards for the purpose of protecting the public health.
