Community Organizations May Register Events Now for Participation in NIDA's Drug Facts Week for Teens
Educating teens about the realities of abusing drugs, including prescription drugs, will be the focus of the National Drug Facts Week (NDFW), a program of the NIDA. NDFW is a health observance week for teens that aims to shatter the myths about drugs and drug abuse and will include community-based events, social media and online activities, and contests. Through these various types of activities, NIDA will encourage teens to get factual answers from scientific experts about drugs and drug abuse.
NIDA encourages local communities to implement drug abuse awareness events during National Drug Facts Week, and provides on its Web site planning information, including steps for getting started and how to register an event with NIDA.
