Title: Collaborative Interventions to Reduce Medication and Dispensing Errors
Whereas, medical and medication errors significantly affect the health and welfare of patients; and
Whereas, pharmacists assist in reducing medication errors and eliminating dispensing errors; and
Whereas, distribution systems, meaningful quality assurance programs, and increased awareness to patient care are needed to address the problem;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that NABP encourage boards of pharmacy to collaborate in implementing interventions that will address this major public health issue.
