CMS Open Door Forum Announced

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a “Special Open Door Forum” conference call to discuss the impact of health care reform (enacted in March 2010) on the DMEPOS accreditation requirement for pharmacy.

The call is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2010, from 3:30 - 5 PM EST.

During this call, CMS staff will:

• Review how CMS plans to implement Section 3109 of the Affordable Care Act for pharmacies
• Review the recent instructions given to their contractor
• Answer questions related to those pharmacies who voluntarily disenrolled last year
• Discuss the next steps required by pharmacies
