Chance to Win an Apple iPad at APhA

To acknowledge pharmacists’ and pharmacy technicians’ efforts to set up their NABP e-Profiles in preparation for CPE Monitor™, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) will once again offer attendees of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting and Exposition an opportunity to win an Apple iPad® valued at $499, or one of six $50 American Express gift cards. Attendees who stop by NABP booth 1012 during the meeting, to be held March 9-12, 2012, in New Orleans, LA, will have a chance to enter the drawing to win. No purchase is necessary.

A collaborative service from NABP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE providers, CPE Monitor will allow pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to track their ACPE-accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) contact hours electronically, ultimately eliminating the need for paper-based statements of credit. In addition, the service will eventually provide a streamlined reporting and compliance verification process for participating state boards of pharmacy.

NABP representatives will be available at booth 1012 to answer questions regarding CPE Monitor and the NABP e-Profile ID, the unique identifier that will soon be required by all ACPE-accredited providers in order for licensees to obtain CPE credit. Representatives will also share information on AWARXE®, the NABP consumer protection program providing prescription drug safety awareness. For information on counterfeit drug risks and prescription drug abuse, as well as patient resources, licensees can visit the Pharmacists section of the AWARXE Web site.

NABP is the independent, international, and impartial Association that assists its member boards and jurisdictions in developing, implementing, and enforcing uniform standards for the purpose of protecting the public health.
