Centralized Reporting System on Imported Products (Defeated Resolution No. 101-10-05)
Resolution No: 101-10-05
Title: Centralized Reporting System on Imported Products
Action: DEFEATED
Whereas, the mission of NABP is to assist its member boards and jurisdictions in developing, implementing, and enforcing uniform standards for the purpose of protecting the public health; and
Whereas, the importation and reimportation of prescription medications from international sources compromises and lessens the regulatory systems established by the boards of pharmacy to protect the integrity of the nation’s medication supply; and
Whereas, data and statistics on the impact of imported and reimported prescription medications on patient clinical health outcomes are lacking;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that NABP assist in the establishment of a centralized reporting system for the collection of data, including but not limited to, case studies that demonstrate the relationship and effect of imported and reimported prescription medications on patient clinical health outcomes.
(Resolution defeated at NABP’s 101st Annual Meeting, New Orleans, LA)
