Beautiful Drives and Scenic Streets Await Golfers and Joggers at NABP's 97th Annual Meeting

Whether you enjoy swinging a five iron, jogging, or walking, you can enjoy fresh air, exercise, and camaraderie at the Annual Golf Tournament and Fun Run/Walk planned during the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy's (NABP) 97th Annual Meeting May 5-9, 2001, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers, Seattle, Wash.

Hit the Links Amid Beautiful Views

Pack your clubs for Seattle's Harbour Pointe Golf Course, which has two distinctly different yet equally beautiful sides. It is one of the most popular and challenging courses in the Puget Sound area. The tournament, which is sponsored by Abbott Laboratories, will be held on Monday, May 7, 2001, from 1:30 to 7:30 PM.

The cost of the tournament is $150 per person and includes greens fee, cart rental, prizes, and transportation. Additional information will be sent to tournament participants prior to the Annual Meeting. Advance registration is required.

Enjoy the Fun Run/Walk through Scenic Seattle

Early morning exercise and a chance to meet new friends are what await participants of the Association's Fifth Annual Fun Run at 6:30 AM on Tuesday, May 8. Join fitness experts for a 5-K (3.1 mile) run or slower paced jog through scenic Seattle. Each guide will be sensitive to the group's fitness level and desired intensity. The morning run will provide an opportunity to see downtown Seattle up close and personal.

Those who prefer a walk in the mornings will enjoy an invigorating walk through downtown Seattle. A walking guide will narrate the walk, pointing out interesting sights, architecture, and public art highlights.

Meeting registrants interested in participating in the Golf Tournament or Fun Run/Walk during the 97th Annual Meeting should complete the registration form and send both the form and applicable fees no later than April 20, 2001, to the NABP Meetings Desk at 700 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068. For more information about the 97th Annual Meeting, please call NABP at 847/698-6227. The registration form and other information may be found on NABP's Web site at www.nabp.net.
