AHRQ Plans to Test System for Collecting Safety Event Information From Patients, Accepting Public Comments
Public comments may be submitted on a project proposed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) that aims to design and test a system for collecting information from patients about health care safety events. The Prototype Consumer Reporting System for Patient Safety Events would collect information from medical patients about medical errors that resulted or nearly resulted in harm or injury. The project would test the prototype for its ability record this data from consumers. More details about the project and instructions for submitting comments are included in a Federal Register notice (PDF). Comments must be received by November 9, 2012.
