Tri-Regulator Symposium

On October 17-18, 2012, NABP joined with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) for the first Tri-Regulator Symposium. The organizations discussed the challenges facing state pharmacy, nursing, and medical boards and future opportunities for interprofessional cooperation. The NCSBN highlights on its Web site videos of the symposium’s key presentations, featuring speakers from all three groups, their member boards, and government health agencies.

A second symposium is expected to be held in 2015. In the meantime, the executive boards of the three associations will continue to collaborate on how to best support the boards that license health care providers in the context of the changing environment of health care delivery.
