Linking Policy

Linking Request Form (PDF)

The NABP World Wide Web pages exist to advance the mission and objectives of the Association. The Web pages provide a service to NABP members. The opportunity to establish e-mail and Web links is available to members. The Association will allow others to link to its Web site after review and approval by the Executive Director/Secretary.

Under this policy, members and nonmembers may have links to the NABP Web site if they meet the following criteria:

  • their site will be used in a manner consistent with all state and federal laws;
  • their site will be consistent with NABP’s mission statement; and
  • their site will not violate or infringe upon any copyright, trademark, patent, or proprietary rights of others or contain anything obscene, discriminatory, or intended for harassment purposes.

Links may be broken by NABP if the linking site fails to meet these criteria.

Process

Members and nonmembers seeking to establish a link to the NABP Web site shall submit a request in writing to the Executive Director/Secretary. The Executive Director/Secretary, in consultation with the Assistant to the Executive Director, will evaluate the potential linked site according to these criteria and inform the requester whether their site may be linked from the NABP Web site.

If the requester chooses to link a site to the NABP Web site, he or she will sign an agreement with NABP, which will specify that:

  • the site will be used in a manner consistent with all state and federal laws;
  • the site will be consistent with NABP’s mission statement;
  • the site will not be transferred to any other entity without allowing NABP the opportunity to review the entity’s compliance with the NABP criteria described above; and
  • the site will not violate or infringe upon any copyright, trademark, patent, or proprietary rights of others or contain anything obscene, discriminatory, or intended for harassment purposes.

Decisions of the Executive Director/Secretary will be final.

Please use this form if you would like to link to the NABP Web site. Use of the NABP logo is not automatically permitted with linking approval. Use of the NABP logo will be considered separately through the copyright permission process.
