Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination® (FPGEE®)

FPGEE Registration and Scheduling Instructions

The FPGEE is administered twice each year at Pearson VUE test sites throughout the continental United States. The next computerized FPGEE will be administered on Monday, April 19, 2010.

Registration and Scheduling Process
Once you meet eligibility requirements to take the exam, NABP will mail you an FPGEE Identification Card, which contains instructions to begin the registration process.

  • Applicants are required to first register for the test online with NABP at http://fpgee.nabp.net. You must provide a current and valid e-mail address when registering.
  • Registration with NABP will open on November 9, 2009, and must be completed by April 5, 2010.
  • Within a few days of registering to test with NABP:
      • You will be e-mailed your Authorization to Test (ATT) from Pearson VUE. The ATT authorizes you to schedule an appointment to test at a Pearson VUE test site for the April FPGEE.
      • After scheduling you will receive a confirmation e-mail verifying your test site.
  • You must present the FPGEE Identification Card at the test site on the day of the examination.

Scheduling your appointment for the April 19, 2010 FPGEE will begin on November 16, 2009, and remain open through April 12, 2010. All cancelations of scheduled examination appointments must be made through Pearson VUE. Cancelations received after April 9, 2010 will be subject to a $125 late cancelation fee.

  • The examination is available at more than 200 Pearson VUE testing sites across the continental United States.  There are no test sites available in Hawaii or Alaska for the FPGEE.
  • You may schedule either online at www.vue.com or by contacting Pearson VUE customer service at 888/709-2679. Detailed scheduling instructions will be included in your ATT.
  • Test sites do fill up quickly so you may have to take the examination at a neighboring site.
  • Confirmation of your test site selection will be e-mailed to you.

Opportunity to Test
You will be eligible to take the examination on one of two consecutive testing opportunities unless you have a documented work, health, or visa problem.

  • If you are unable to test on April 19, 2010, but wish to sit for the September 30, 2010 FPGEE, you will NOT be mailed a new FPGEE Identification Card. Your FPGEE Identification Card is valid for one of your first two testing opportunities. Please be sure to keep your FPGEE Identification Card, as a fee of $25 may be charged to obtain a duplicate.
  • Registration with NABP for the September 30, 2010 FPGEE will begin on June 21, 2010, and must be completed by September 17, 2010. Applicants will be able to schedule testing appointments from June 28, 2010 through September 24, 2010.

If you are unable to test during your two opportunities due to a work, health, or visa issue you must notify NABP and provide official documentation of why you are unable to test in order to be offered an additional opportunity to sit for the examination.

Please refer to the FPGEC Application Bulletin (pages 21-26) on the NABP Web site at www.nabp.net or call customer service at 847/391-4406 for complete detailed information pertaining to the FPGEE including identification requirements, testing policies and procedures at Pearson VUE, and examination information.
